Staff Mid-America is seeking an experienced Door and Hardware Installer/Technician to service and install residential doors and door hardware. Our client is an 160+ year old Nebraska based company and enjoy lots of physical activity and the mental challenge of trouble-shooting to solve customers’ installation and service needs, this is a great opportunity! Job Description:
- Professionally install and service residential doors, door hardware, cabinet hardware and bath accessories.
- Drive to the job site and complete installation of materials assuring that the daily schedule is followed and all installations are finished to the customers’ satisfaction.
- Continue to develop skills, learn new techniques and stay current with product requirements.
- Typical schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Prefer applicant with 1 year experience in trim carpentry or related construction field.
- Prefer applicant with experience installing residential doors, frames and hardware.
- This position requires medium to heavy lifting of materials at times. Frequent to constant standing, lifting, handling, stooping, walking, carrying, kneeling, bending and reaching.
- Prefer applicant with ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
- Must be able to read and understand work orders.
- Must have the ability to work with little supervision, have great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency.
- Must provide own basic hand tools. Company will provide power tools.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and security background check.
