Now Hiring: Overnight Security Officer

Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour

Location: Hotel in Downtown Omaha, NE
Shift: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview

Staff Mid-America is seeking a dependable and professional Overnight Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment at a downtown Omaha hotel. The ideal candidate has previous security experience, strong observation skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional while handling a variety of situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hotel premises and maintain a visible security presence.
• Conduct routine patrols of designated areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or security incidents.
• Respond professionally to disturbances and assist with incident reporting.
• Help enforce hotel policies and maintain a safe environment for guests, employees, and visitors.
• Communicate effectively with hotel staff and management.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience required, preferably in a hotel, commercial building, residential property, or similar setting.
• Experience conducting patrols, monitoring property, and responding to security concerns.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently overnight.
• Customer service experience is a plus, particularly in hospitality or other public-facing environments.

Schedule & Pay

• Overnight shift: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Starting pay: $22.00 per hour
• Work location: Downtown Omaha hotel
