GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Staff Mid-America is hiring for a Warehouse Lead for one of our largest clients. Bilingual is preferred.

Pay:  $21.00 – $23.00 / based on experience

Job Summary:

In the absence of the Supervisor and assisting the Supervisor the lead is responsible for all warehouse operations. Included in this responsibility is safety, sanitation, staffing recommendation, employee training and development, customer service, performance, and work assignments.

Equipment:

After required training the warehouse supervisor will be required to complete some or all of the following tasks daily or when needed; forklift/pallet jack, pallet invertors, wrappers, and Palletizers.

Must be able to obtain company provided Fork Lift License.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to verbally understand and execute work Instructions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to stand, walk, reach, and may regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 70 pounds.

Specific visual abilities required by this job may also include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Read schedules, BOL’s, and/or other shipping paperwork. Remove any broken pallet pieces, straps, or other contaminants on floor in path of forklift. Fill out required paperwork as assigned.

Work Environment:

Exposures to temperatures of an average of 50°F -20°F to degrees depending on the work assignment. This exposure is in and out, not continuously.

The employee may encounter wet floors and/or damp areas and encounter meat products including blood/fat pieces.

Safety:

The employee is required to follow all safety rules in place at the time of employment and encouraged to inform management of any perceived safety deficiencies.

Qualifications: Training – JSA, LOTO, Machine Specific, Safety, and Food Safety

Direct Reports: General Warehouse.

Type of position: Full Time

Target Hours:

Monday – Saturday as needed.

Hours will vary – target 8-hour days
