Audio Visual (AV) Technician
Pay: $22 + depending on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AV Technician to set up, operate, and dismantle audio and visual equipment for live events, conferences, corporate meetings, and special productions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and test audio, video, and lighting equipment
- Operate soundboards, microphones, projectors, LED walls, and video systems
- Run cables and ensure proper signal flow
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment
- Follow event diagrams, floor plans, and technical instructions
- Maintain and store equipment properly after events
- Communicate effectively with team members and event coordinators
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an AV Technician or related field preferred
- Knowledge of sound systems, mixers, speakers, and video equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and punctuality required
- Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, and travel may be required)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with live events or corporate productions
- Knowledge of basic lighting systems
- Understanding of HDMI, SDI, XLR, and power distribution
- OSHA certification is a plus
